Do Not Be Afraid

As January came to a close, I led an evening worship service on the theme of being called to service.  The text for the evening came from Jeremiah 1:4-10; the calling of the prophet by God.

Unfortunately, I forgot to remove the previous sermon recording from my phone before the service (oops) so a few minutes before the end of the sermon the video cuts out.  Here is a very short version of what I spoke on in those few minutes:  The call to the church comes much as the call to individuals (which I speak at some length about earlier in the sermon), and follows the same three promises.  In the end, I conclude, we need not be afraid to follow our calling, no matter how challenging it may seem, for God has promised to walk the road with us.
